PRAGUE: THERE’S SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO
If you’re visiting Prague this August, try something a little different during your stay
We’re shining a spotlight on Prague Harley Days in 2025, and while the rally is reason enough to attend, there’s a lot more to see and do in and around one of Europe’s most famous cities.
Most guides focus on the absolute must-see highlights, such as the picturesque Charles Bridge (best seen at sunrise and sunset), Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Town and the historic Jewish Quarter. We’d recommend them all, but for something a little different, here’s our alternative H.O.G.® to-do list…
Harley-Davidson Praha
It would be remiss of us not to recommend the legendary Harley-Davidson® Praha dealership, not least because it holds the record for the oldest Harley-Davidson riders’ club in the world, officially founded in 1928. Pick up a poker chip and celebrate with the team.

Underground Prague
Beautiful from above but with hidden secrets below, it’s worth checking out Prague Underground Tours. The Old Town is more than seven centuries old, and over the ages a lot of subterranean activity took place. Tours include Prague’s medieval dungeons, secrets of the Prague subway and a Cold War nuclear bunker.

Bringing alchemy alive
A visit to either the Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague, situated below Prague Castle, or the Alchemy Museum, near the Jewish Quarter, will give you an insight into medieval alchemy, which fused magic and mysticism with herbalism, astronomy and pseudoscience in the search for the elixir of life, unlimited gold and more.

Museum of Senses
The family-friendly Museum of Senses is one of the more unusual places to visit in the city, with interactive exhibits playing with light, perspective and other sensory stimulants designed to give you unique photo opportunities. Enjoy installations such as the Endless Disco Room, a mirror, light and music experience; Head on a Platter, an illusion where you look like your head has been disembodied; or the Bed of Nails, which challenges you to have nerves of steel!
Location: five minutes’ walk from Prague Main Station

Museum of Communism
The Czech Republic, then part of Czechoslovakia, was an important Warsaw Pact nation during the Cold War and technologically one of the most advanced, but it had a history of repression and attempted insurrection against the installed Communist regime, including the Prague Spring of 1968 and the eventual Velvet Revolution in 1989. The Museum of Communism, ironically situated in a former palace that also houses shops, charts it all in a superb exhibition following the terrible history of World War II and the transition to Soviet domination. Don’t let the location put you off; it’s well worth a visit.

Franz Kafka Museum
Few people have had a description of a situation or story scenario named after them, but Czech literary legend Franz Kafka is one of them. Kafkaesque is used to describe an extremely unpleasant, frightening or confusing situation, similar to events in his novels. If finding out more about his literary history is your cup of becherovka, this is the museum for you.

Day trip: Kutná Hora
The picturesque town of Kutná Hora is around 80km east of Prague, just over an hour’s ride. It was once almost as important as Prague itself, due to its vast wealth from silver mining, and has some beautiful fairytale streets and buildings. There’s also the macabre, such as Sedlec Ossuary, or Bone Church, which is decorated with human skeletons and skulls. And don’t miss the beautiful Gothic and Baroque Cathedral of Assumption of Our Lady and St John the Baptist and iconic St Barbara’s Church, as well as the Czech Museum of Silver dedicated to the history of silver mining in the region.
